Reduce the air conditioning load with the force of the nature !
A 24-hour ventilation system utilizing the Eco-friendly natural energy “Geo-Heat”.

GEO Power System is a 24-hour ventilation system, for basic air conditioning, that utilizes the natural energy “Geo-Heat” existing under our feet.

Not rapidly adjusting the temperature like air conditioners, but gently adjusts the temperature of the entire building while ventilating and reduces the air conditioning load. The system directly utilizes and makes the best use of the force of the nature, through the building method and the ingenuity.

What is Geo-Heat ?

About 10 m underground, the annual average temperature in each region is almost constant. This is why the well water feels cold in the summer and warm in the winter.

How the pipe works

The heat exchange pipe (geopipe) buried in the ground exchanges the heat in the outside air blown in the pipe with the heat in the underground, on the surface of the pipe, and sends cool breeze in summer and warm breeze in winter.

In addition to the function of heat exchange by Geo-heat, the heat exchange pipe also has a secondary effect of “purifying the air” naturally utilizing the characteristics of the water at the bottom of the pipe. When grits, dusts, pollens, PM2.5, etc. in the air pass through the water at the bottom, those are absorbed by the water, and clean up the air blown into the room. The water at the bottom of the pipe is necessary to be regularly replaced with the clean water. In the humid season, excess moisture in the air is removed by condensing in the pipe, on the other hand during the dry season, the water at the bottom the pipe humidifies to prevent excessive drying.

In the measurement at Geo Power System Yamaguchi Exhibition Place, as shown in the graph, it has been confirmed that more than 90 % of dusts with the pollen diameter (about 5μm) can be removed.

Adopted cases

Advantages and disadvantage

  • Advantages

    1. No weather effect, due to Geo-Heat usage.
    2. Lead to CO2 emission reduction, by providing an environment which does not use air conditioner as much as possible.
    3. Having an air cleaning function, by absorbing grits, dusts, pollens, etc. to the water at the bottom of the heat exchanging pipe.
    4. Available to use even in the extreme hot weather, as it can coexist with other auxiliary air conditioning and heat pump systems.
  • Disadvantages

    1. Fine temperature control is not possible.
    2. Fine temperature setting and rapid temperature adjusting, like air conditioners, are not possible, since the basic heat source of GEO power system is Geo-Heat and using the natural energy as it is. However, the air conditioning system is less burdensome to the body, and an environment coexisting with nature is provided.
