Furukawa Sangyo was established in 1947, soon after the end of the Pacific War. We started out as a sales division for electric wires and other products at Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd.
Since then, supported by society and our business partners on the back of economic growth, we have broadened our business fields to include electronics, automobiles, social infrastructure, energy, plant facilities, telecommunications, aviation and space, railways, ships, construction, the environment, disaster prevention, medicine, healthcare, and other fields, both in Japan and overseas. In order to provide services that meet the needs of our customers, in addition to trading business in each business field, which is the core function of a trading company, we have also enhanced our functions in logistics, finance, and manufacturing and processing.

More than 70 years after our founding, Furukawa Sangyo has specified our mid-term management vision as “Think about the future, build the future.” Our aims are to further deepen the businesses we have cultivated and consider the society, economy, technology and lifestyles of the future. In order to realize this vision, Furukawa Sangyo will continue to search for and create businesses that solve social issues and meet the true needs of our business partners. In doing so, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society for all. We will continue to make efforts to become a company with a 100-year history.
